When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. The theme files can be uploaded in two ways:
• FTP Upload: Using your FTP program, upload the non-zipped theme folder into the /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server.
• WordPress Upload: Navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload. Go to
browse, and select the zipped theme folder. Hit “Install Now” and the theme will be
uploaded and installed. Once the theme is uploaded, you need to activate it. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate your chosen theme.
A demo file comes with the theme that imports example posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, tags, widgets etc. which can help you in learning how the theme works. To add this content follow the steps below:
Once you have created your new page which uses either “homepage” page template, navigate to Settings > Reading and configure the “Front Page Displays” setting. Select the static page option and choose the page you just created as your front page.
If you wish to use the Blog (Latest Posts) homepage layout then navigate to Settings > Reading and configure the “Front Page Displays” setting. Select "Your latest posts" option.
Go to Appearance > Theme Options
In this section, you can set your logo, favicon, and add Google Analytics or other tracking code.
In this section, you can set your background and set the colors of all elements of the site except posts
To set the background is in the form of one image, go to Background Image, click to "Upload" button, select a picture, then click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
So you get the background is as a single image stretched to full screen, aspect ratio of the image will be unchanged.
If you want to set as the background is a repeating pattern, enable the setting "Background Repeat".
So you get the background is as a repeating pattern, and size, aspect ratio of this pattern will be unchanged
In tis section, you can set custom Google Font. To use this tab insert code of Google Font in textarea and place name of font in areas below. You can use multiple Google Fonts, just add two or more codes in textarea.
Post Style Settings
In this section you can configure the style of posts. You can customize what is displayed in the excerpt of the posts, the length of the excerpt and text for "Read more" link.
The theme comes with a number of in built custom page templates. These templates can be used on individual pages to alter the display or functionality.
If you set Masonry Page Template on the Home page, you can see a list of recent posts on another page using the Blog Template. To use the template, simply create a page using the “Blog” page template.
Contact Form Template
The theme comes packed with a simple contact form. To use the form, simply create a page and use the “Contact” page template. The form will automatically insert below any page content. The form includes HTML5 validation to enhance user experience.
E-mails sended from the contact form will be sent to the site administrator e-mail.
To set administrator email navigate to Settings > General > E-mail Address.
Custom Archive Template
The theme comes packed with a simple archives template. To create your archives, simply create a page using the “Custom Archives” page template. The archive lists will automatically display below any page content.
Full Width Template
The Full Width template allows the creation of a page without a sidebar. The main content will span the full width of the site. To use the template, simply create a page using the “Full Width” page template.
This template is a page with 3 columns and with the "Load more" button at the bottom of the page. To use the template, simply create a page using the “Masonry” page template.
The theme supports the use of different post formats in order to change the appearance of your content. The theme supports standard, aside, image, gallery, video, link, quote and audio formats.
This format functions just as you would expect any other typical post, the appearance of your content is not altered.
To use the image post format, select “Image” from the format select menu and assign a featured image. Your featured image image will be shown, any other content will not. Images should be a minimum width of 794px by any height.
To use the gallery post format, select “gallery” from the format select menu and insert your content as normal. You will find an additional menu used to upload images. Press the “upload images” button, choose your images from your computer, and press upload. There are no further steps, all images uploaded will automatically show in your gallery. You can upload an unlimited number of images. Images should be a minimum width of 794px by any height.
To use the audio post format, select “Audio” from the format select menu and insert your content as normal.
Audio post supports embed code from third-party resources such as SoundCloud, 8tracks, Free Music Archivie and others who provide embed code. Just paste the embed code into a "Embedded Code" field and publish post.
To use the video post format, select “Video” from the format select menu and insert your
content as normal. You will find an additional menu used to upload your video. Each post can display video embedded from YouTube or Vimeo or other services that provides embed code. To add a video from either Vimeo or YouTube, simply copy and paste the provided embed code in the appropriate section.
To use the quote post format, select “Aside” from the format select menu and insert your content as normal. Your post content will be shown, your post title will not. You can use the Aside post format as status posts or write any other text.
To use the quote post format, select “Quote” from the format select menu and insert your content as normal. You will find an additional menu used to enter your quote. Your post title will be used as the quote source.
To use the link post format, select “Link” from the format select menu and insert your content as normal. You will find an additional menu used to enter your link URL. Your link will be shown, and your post title will be used as the link text.
